For the past year we have been making Spanish cooking accessible to everyone through our Spanish Home Cooking lessons. Our focus is on teaching authentic Spanish cooking, as it is in Spain, with the kind of 'secrets' that are passed down through generations of families. We also make available quality Spanish food products for purchase through our website.

About our Head Cook

Maria del Carmen Cabello San Agustin (let's just call her 'Maria'!) was born and raised in Vitoria-Gasteiz, a city of about 200,000 people in Northern Spain. Vitoria-Gasteiz is the capital of the Basque Region of Spain and has a mix of inhabitants who bring a wide variety of Spanish cuisine to the local community.

Maria has been cooking since she was 7 years old. With advice and support from her grandmother she has become a typical Spanish home cook, passionate about quality produce and traditional dishes.

Since 2003 when Maria moved to Melbourne she has been sourcing the best products she can find to cook the traditional Spanish dishes she loves. Of course, most great products are produced locally in Australia, but some still need to be imported from Spain.

Maria loves the opportunity to be able to pass on what she has learned to cooking students of Spanish Home Cooking, helping students to re-create authentic Spanish dishes in their own homes. Now Maria is helping bring that delicious Spanish food to your event.
